Any ideas? Once I read the "master volume" part, I noticed another speaker symbol at the bottom of my computer...turned out it was on mute, how? Run Windows Update and have it download and install recommended updates. I'm not proud of that fact, nor the fact it took me about a half-hour to figure out at the time.
