MSN And Duplicating Bug?

Comment 3 Tuukka Tolvanen (sp3000) 2004-10-12 12:18:31 PDT rel/dup: bug 258848, bug 260854 Comment 4 Andrew Ruder 2004-10-31 20:13:00 PST I get this on all my RSS feeds with a 20041027 A synchronization problem in the SMTP mail delivery protocol, which is used by most mail programs on the Internet, can make this error more likely; see the Internet RFC document Duplicate They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. Can you give me an example feed that has had this issue lately so I can test with it?

Comment 136 Christian Schmidt 2008-01-04 14:01:37 PST I created a separate bug for the specific problem with guids that are not strings (bug 410842). from until about a week ago, but the RSS function has worked perfectly since then. I keep Thunderbird running constantly and update feeds every hour and periodically this occurs. on client side: so , the code that involves checking if messages are new , should not consist of the results of the previous xml querry , but rather a list

this is so mozilla style. Comment 107 Alvin Brinson 2007-02-21 06:15:12 PST Wow - this bug goes back to 2004 and they still haven't BOTHERED to fix it..... The messages still send out but are no longer duplicated. Comment 33 Nick Thomas [:nthomas] 2004-12-09 05:28:23 PST I am seeing similar things to comment 32.

Comment 90 Mike Cowperthwaite 2006-03-28 08:10:17 PST Bug 331851 lists a feed with two specific feedvalidator errors, where a single entry is duplicated, using TB 1.5. What others informations can I provide to help correct this bug? Comment 30 José Jeria 2004-12-03 01:16:08 PST Is this fix in 1.0 RC1? This has only occured since they moved to a new server....

Magnus: the feed in comment #100 cycles between being empty (and returning Error 503) and having three (always same) entries (and returning Status code 200) every five minutes. Start TB 1.1a2. However, neither nor are necessarily URIs ( may contain any string, and should contain an IRI), so this causes problems when they are not wellformed URIs. Look for multiple occurrences of your email address, as well as the addresses of other mailing lists you receive.

When you connect via IMAP, Outlook/Hotmail saves a copy of the sent email on the server. WTH is WRONG with you guys? The bug is there and if you can't reproduce it or it doesn't annoy you doesn't mean that it is not there. Comment 113 Rotis 2007-05-03 03:29:32 PDT Oohh.

  • Thanks and bye!
  • It's not that big of an issue for me.

Full name Email address Please provide your IU email address. Why can't you just fix what you have first, and then add new stuff? Comment 8 Remy Suen 2008-07-02 07:41:27 EDT (In reply to comment #6) > And for yahoo, I have retested I haven't again the bug sorry. Please tell it to by mail, it's [email protected]

With the IEBlog, duplication of the entire feed occurs for me a couple of times/week. Comment 124 Oliver Saier 2007-08-08 16:00:17 PDT Not sure why you put version:Trunk, we've been experiencing this since 2004... BUT if the server returns 1 ) message C 2 ) message D 3 ) message E due to content of message F being locked , message C gets duped when comment:5 Changed 8 years ago by pierre.mirmont Yes, there is a icon.

It takes about two days to generate 1000 duplicate messages (that's about 50 dupes of 20 posts), no matter whether I delete them or not. Solution To fix this problem, change your mail forwarding so that all mail messages, no matter what address they are sent to, have a final destination. I did that the day you posted (2 days ago). Comment 134 Eddie Turfboer 2008-01-04 00:57:27 PST (In reply to comment #133) > I think (so far it is only a guess) that the problem with > is caused by

Is there actually taking care of? Although I'm quite relieved that this is not caused by a failed configuration on my part, it does not stop being anoying nonetheless. As you said, I really hope that Microsoft will Close TB 1.06 6.

Slightly frustrating but it would appear there is no simple fix for this yet.I assumed it would be so much easier to set up seeing as my iphone and ipad work

The XML file contains 7 items, and I received duplicates of items 3,4,6, and 7. (1=most recent, 7=oldest) There were no new items. The error message on command line prompt said something like "unable to create mcop ". (Sorry for not remembering the details, I didn't realize to copy-paste the message in store. This is not the scenario that I had, when I saw the problem in 1.0.x builds; I'm not sure if it's the scenario for anyone other than you, at this point. Winter 2005-10-31 03:23:47 PST I'm still getting this bug with "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051030 Thunderbird/1.5 Mnenhy/ ID:2005103006".

I leave Thunderbird open for days on end. Comment 50 Tuukka Tolvanen (sp3000) 2005-04-22 09:41:21 PDT afair other fixes for issues of this type in the feeds feature were made as well, on trunk? For many of these I never delete entries after viewing (except duplicates). Not only it is a great app, it also fixes the double message in the sent folder that we have been discussing, I have been using it for a few months

I narrowed the problem down to only feeds that contained items that had a doubly escaped ampersand in the link. Guys, from our (user's) point of view you're never ever tried to reproduce it. Bug239112 - [msn] CPU use is increasing anormally Summary: [msn] CPU use is increasing anormally Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 238970 Product: ECF Classification: RT Component: ecf.protocols Version: 2.0.0 Hardware: All Hardin 2005-08-22 06:02:35 PDT The feed of Roger Ebert's movie reviews ( are being horribly duplicated.

If they are unsure whether a mail message was successfully passed along to the next computer on the network, the sender will try to send it again. What version of Eclipse and JRE (and which one...i.e. I think all of them have produced duplicates (except I can't remember Alterslash doing so), but never all of them at once. So there is definitely something wrong with how Outlook handles the new IMAP service...To be continued !

Comment 31 David :Bienvenu 2004-12-03 08:17:53 PST no, it didn't make rc1, but it's in the latest nightly .9 builds.

This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 631428, so is being marked as such. Comment 127 Weston Carloss 2007-08-21 20:26:00 PDT Ignore my last comment, I've just recently noticed that issue with the duplicates having the recipient's name, respectively mine. Comment 152 Rimas Kudelis 2008-08-21 22:48:57 PDT Addition to comment #151: Just for the record: I'm currently having 8556 entries instead of 3 in that feed's folder.

If (as I suspect) you're not using a build from the trunk since April (e.g. 1.1a, or 1.0+, etc.) then it's no surprise that you're seeing this symptom -- the potential Comment 119 Bed 2007-07-23 23:47:05 PDT This is now happening for more on a daily event (today, it keeps happening ever 5 seconds!) with the following feed: Surely this can Explanation If you forward your email from one computer to another, it is possible to set up the forwarding in such a way that there is no final destination for your Comment 36 Doug Wright 2005-01-09 14:25:44 PST *** Bug 274882 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Comment 37 Doug Wright 2005-01-09 14:26:53 PST *** Bug 274604 has

The RDF store requires that the keys are URIs. The problem started when I run yum update on 20th Dec 2005, for the first time in about couple of weeks. So unless someone can reproduce this on trunk, or it's deemed blocking-aviary1.0.4, it should be marked fixed (or wfm). My current situation is that I manage all the feeds in Thunderbird, unless this deuplication occurs (have two feeds that those it).
