Let me explain.  When a program freezes up, often times it is not permanently frozen.  As I said earlier, sometimes it can take as long as 20 minutes to respond.  If If that works, you might be able to remove it. Hibernate create huge files on your Windows drive which can affect performance especially if they are not cleaned up once in a while.
